Full synthetics are oil free cooling lubricants. They consist exclusively of water soluble components which provides three essential distinguishing features compared to emulsions:

Clear transparent: allows free view of the cutting point

Optimum tramp oil separation due to the absence of emulsifiers

Leaves dry surfaces
